My first blog

As many people know, I dont have a shit load of free time. However, I would for my fellow relatives to chime in. Being the farthest away, it would be nice to get caught up on family afairs. So I hope to see some new news soon.

Current News:

I just recieved my 2nd degree as a freemason. Freemasonery is a fraternity, which includes the likes of George Washington and countless presidents. It has been around for hundreds of years maybe thousands. So far it has been a very pleasent and worthwhile experience. I am currently learning my next caticism for my next degree, which will make me a master mason (3rd degree). The only benefit is I can then go to all lodge meetings. I'm looking forward to it.

Another big event is building my house. It will not be a massive house, but I think it is the right size and in a perfect location. I have a preconstruction meeting this Friday. I will give more details as they come.

Mom and Dad came down last weekend for a visit. Paige and I were very happy that they came down to visit. We all went to the design center, were we got to pick out options for the house. I think they will turn out to be good selections. The next day we went to a Charlotte Checkers game. Which is our IHL hockey team. It was an alright game. No fights or "Red" ice. We had nice seats, one row from the glass. However, our Checker's did lose the game. Oh well. The pinnicle of the weekend was going to the Biltmore. Probably the most amazing thing I think I have ever seen. As an engineer I really appreciated it. Over all it was a great weekend.

Work is busy to say the least. I just got back from a 4 day trip to VA and SC. Looking at vedors do mockups for welding. To give scope of this welding, they are going to do about 4 welds. Total cost probably around 2 million dollars.

I apologize for the choppy and uninteresting grammar, but it's late and I'm tired.

Hope all is well.
Nick

Laskodi Family Update

I can't believe that it will already be 7 months this February, that Jason I will have been married. For the record, we are loving it. I remember Gramp telling me that your love grows and grows for the other person as time goes on. It is a good feeling. So, we are happy Newlyweds.

I am still modeling for Victoria's Secret. Jason is doing on line technical support for web host company based out of San Fransisco. He loves his job. He gets to work on line and is able to maintain his blog, jasonspage on the side.

We have some stuff planned for this year. First, we are going to refinish our master bedroom and bath. So, far we intend to install laminate in the bedroom and tile in the bath/shower area. We will also paint the wall accordingly. We will take before and after photos once the project gets started.

In March we will be attending festival in Austin, Texas, called South by Southwest. This festival will have sessions on Technology, Film and Music. Jason has been wanting to attend for years. I am sure I will learn alot more about blogging and hopefully see some really neat films. We are really looking forward to going.

Then, at the end of June, we will attending another tech event. This one is called Gnomedex and it will be in Seattle. Jason went last year and that was where he met the man he does tech support for. This year we both will go. WE are also planning to take a few days to explore the area as we are considering relocating there. We shall see about all that.

Sometime soon I hope to visit Nick and Paige in North Carolina and also get up to Cleveland to see Kristan's baby, Brooke. I will let you know more as it happens.

A new way to keep in touch

Hello, this is Angela Bernadette Laskodi. My mother is Cheryl Ann Buchan, daughter of Lorain and Angelo Milicia.

Mom and I were talking today and discussed the possibility of starting a family blog. This is a place where we can let our family know what is happening with us.
