My first blog

As many people know, I dont have a shit load of free time. However, I would for my fellow relatives to chime in. Being the farthest away, it would be nice to get caught up on family afairs. So I hope to see some new news soon.

Current News:

I just recieved my 2nd degree as a freemason. Freemasonery is a fraternity, which includes the likes of George Washington and countless presidents. It has been around for hundreds of years maybe thousands. So far it has been a very pleasent and worthwhile experience. I am currently learning my next caticism for my next degree, which will make me a master mason (3rd degree). The only benefit is I can then go to all lodge meetings. I'm looking forward to it.

Another big event is building my house. It will not be a massive house, but I think it is the right size and in a perfect location. I have a preconstruction meeting this Friday. I will give more details as they come.

Mom and Dad came down last weekend for a visit. Paige and I were very happy that they came down to visit. We all went to the design center, were we got to pick out options for the house. I think they will turn out to be good selections. The next day we went to a Charlotte Checkers game. Which is our IHL hockey team. It was an alright game. No fights or "Red" ice. We had nice seats, one row from the glass. However, our Checker's did lose the game. Oh well. The pinnicle of the weekend was going to the Biltmore. Probably the most amazing thing I think I have ever seen. As an engineer I really appreciated it. Over all it was a great weekend.

Work is busy to say the least. I just got back from a 4 day trip to VA and SC. Looking at vedors do mockups for welding. To give scope of this welding, they are going to do about 4 welds. Total cost probably around 2 million dollars.

I apologize for the choppy and uninteresting grammar, but it's late and I'm tired.

Hope all is well.
Nick
